It was great to see so many people last Sunday who had made the effort to come down and visit us at Rusty Road 2 Recovery. Lazy Sundays are a fantastic social time in which to chat with new people, look at an assortment of classic vehicles as well as grab a coffee and something to eat. The Rusty Road unit is fully open so you can have a good look around the workshop, art studio and new sculpture workshop. Lazy Sundays take place on the first Sunday of each month, except January. The next date is Sunday 3rd November 2019.
We had some special guests to visit this month. Amelia and Amanda, who are driving Daisy Minor, made the trip over from Norfolk to visit us and present a cheque for £1000, monies they have raised for us during their trip to Scotland and assorted car meets this summer. The effort they have put in to raise funds for us and to increase awareness of the work we do is invaluable. Thank you both for your hard work!
We also had a visit from Round The UK On A Tenner a day this Sunday. This family of five have been making their way around the coast of the UK in their 1968 Morris Traveller campervan raising funds and awareness for Cat Zero. They have been to some amazing places and visited many worthwhile projects, While in Somerset they came to see us. You can follow their adventures on facebook https://www.facebook.com/roundtheukonatenneraday/
This month we had more classic vehicles on display than ever before. Here's an assortment of photos.
Our next Lazy Sunday is on Sunday 3rd November. We'll see you then.
